about jeff mingay

Golf course architecture is deeply rooted in tradition. The greatest courses, however, represent a point of departure. Using the past for inspiration is important, but the most successful architects attempt to better the golf course’s role in the world.

Since opening my studio in 2009, I’ve led golf course design and construction projects throughout Canada and the United States, including the rehabilitation of a number of historic layouts. I’ve tailored my practice to be intimate to provide creative, thoughtful, and personal service to my clients. An architect’s involvement across every phase of a project is crucial to ensure that nothing gets lost in translation and each job is completed on time and on budget.

Inspired by a lifelong love of the game, I’m drawn to unique challenges that could ultimately create a revolutionary course. My goal is to provide golfers with a memorable experience, and to equip my clients with a sustainable foundation for future success. To experience an innovative work of golf course architecture is to journey to the near future by way of the past.
